The Brazilian star did not disappoint though, as he opened the scoring late in the first half to help secure three points for Tottenham on the road.

Tottenham’s Richarlison celebrates after scoring his side’s opening goal against Forest

Dejan Kulusevski was a joy to watch as he assisted Tottenham’s opener and scored the next

Destiny Udogie was booked in the immediate aftermath of Bissouma’s sending off, meaning he will also miss Tottenham’s upcoming match against Everton.

Bissouma’s red card is the fourth Spurs have been shown this season, with the 27-year-old previously being sent off against Luton for diving that earned him a second yellow card in the match.

The game was at deadlock for the first half until Richarlison broke the scoring with a cool header from Dejan Kulusevski’s cross.

Kulusevski, who created the opening goal for Richarlison and was the best attacking player on the pitch, added a second for Spurs after an error by Forest goalkeeper Matt Turner, and the visitors held out despite finishing the game with 10 men.

Yves Bissouma was sent off in the 70th minute, his second red card of the season, for a high tackle on Ryan Yates.

The pressure will be on for boss Ange Postecoglou who is already short of players, but the real pressure will be on Steve Cooper after Forest’s run of poor form.
