Man Utd eye £250m Saudi deal as Chelsea favourite put up for sale

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is desperate for Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s takeover to be completed before January to boost his hopes of bringing in reinforcements. It is no secret that the struggling Red Devils are keen to bolster their ranks with a new centre-back and forward.

However, it is expected that United must first clear the decks with highly-paid outcasts Jadon Sancho and Donny van de Beek among those up for sale.

Chelsea are also counting down the days until Todd Bohely can open his chequebook once again and Mauricio Pochettino has already made a desperate public call for more players. The Blues risk having an over-inflated squad so will also be looking to trim the budget. Express Sport keeps you up to date with all the latest transfer rumours and gossip…

Chelsea favourite up for sale

Chelsea are reportedly looking for a buyer for Conor Gallagher, despite the midfielder starting all but one Premier League match this season.

The Blues are looking to bring in around £50million for their academy graduate, with it deemed that the club have too many midfielders.

Man Utd eye £250m Saudi deal

Manchester United chief John Murtough has reportedly flown to Saudi Arabia to try and offload four players. Chelsea were successful in selling their fringe stars for high fees this summer and the Red Devils are hoping to follow suit.

It is claimed that Casemiro, Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial were put on the table during negotiations with Saudi Pro League clubs. It is hoped that up to £250m could be raised from the quartet.

However, Murtough returned to the UK without a deal and he is now on the lookout for new buyers.
