England captain Kane, 30, came through the youth academy at Spurs and spent 19 years at Arsenal’s fierce north London rivals before his transfer to German champions Bayern Munich last month, where he has enjoyed a blistering start.

Nketiah, 24, has lauded Kane after joining up with Gareth Southgate’s side for the first time – having been handed his maiden England call-up – and the Arsenal man is hoping to learn a lot from Spurs’ all-time record goalscorer in the camp.

Asked what it was like training with Kane, Nketiah said: ‘It’s been really good. He’s a world-class striker.

‘Today was my first session, so I’m sure I will be in his ear all week trying to get tips and learning.

‘It’s a great opportunity to learn, improve myself and see what top strikers do – how they prepare for a game. I’m really looking forward to the week. He’s a great player.

‘I might have a few notes in my phone [of questions to ask Kane] – let’s see. It’s just good to be here.’
