Taylor Swift’s beau and David Seaman miss out on ‘sport’s best moustache’ award

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce may be winning on and off the field – but he's got a long way to go before measuring up in the moustache department.

The NFL icon and two-time Super Bowl-winner is enjoying another fine season and has Taylor Swift on his arm. However, his facial fur was still only good enough to place third on sports' Mount Rushmore of moustaches.

Even Arsenal legend David Seaman could only place second in the pecking order of lip-huggers. Though sports enthusiasts may agree with the end result when they discover who was elected the head of handlebars.

LuckyBlock.com surveyed 1,000 fans to determine who had the most iconic tash in the biz. Only 11% of participants voted for touchdown machine Kelce, while Seaman received more than double that with 29% of the vote.

But more than two third of the ballot named WWE great Hulk Hogan as their pick for the top prize. 'Hulkamania' accounted for 36.2% of the vote in total, which was almost worth the same as Kelce and Seaman's shares combined.

Kelce's Kansas City coach, Andy Reid, was also among the top finishers and received 8% himself. That put him level with another Super Bowl champion in Aaron Rodgers, who saw his debut season with the New York Jets ended prematurely by injury.

The top six monoliths of moustache mastery included another wrestling Hall of Famer in Don Frye, who was just off the pace with 7.8% of votes. Mixed martial arts, boxing and kickboxing icon Frye might have been mistaken for Magnum P.I. during his athletic career, and the American to this day still touts the tash that took him to the pinnacle of his game.

But none quite came close to rivalling Hogan in the gauntlet of hairy heroics. And with the style no longer in fashion like it once was, it's up for debate as to whether anyone will take the king's crown.
