Rousey hasn’t been seen since WrestleMania 35 where she lost a historic Winner Takes All Triple Threat Match to Becky Lynch.
The Baddest Woman on the Planet injured her hand during the first ever all-women’s WrestleMania main event and then took a hiatus she had planned before the bout in order to start a family with her husband Travis Browne.
The first ever UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion then cast immense doubt over her future and didn’t even rule out retirement.
But recent rumours suggest that the UFC Hall of Famer’s wrestling return is now inevitable and that she is not yet done with Vince McMahon’s promotion.
In fact, it’s practically a guarantee that they would want to get her back for the FOX debut even just to make an appearance
And Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter believes there’s a good chance WWE will try to get her to appear on SmackDown’s first ever episode on FOX.
The blue brand will change channels on October 4 and the network is reportedly keen to air it as a pure sport product.
That means that they will need to have WWE’s top athletes like Rousey, Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns and more.
Therefore, WWE could be keen to have The Rowdy One, among others, for the historic episode even if that means just making a short non-wrestling appearance.
Alvarez, though, hasn’t heard any confirmation yet.
He said: “I have not heard a whisper of Ronda coming back any time soon, but I would not be surprised.
“In fact, it’s practically a guarantee that they would want to get her back for the FOX debut even just to make an appearance.”
Rousey was embroiled in a heated feud with Lynch before taking a hiatus from the company.
The MMA hero then agreed to defend her RAW Women’s Championship at WrestleMania in a match that would also include then SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair.
Lynch stood tall in New Jersey and became the first ever RAW and SmackDown Women’s Champion.
