Nuno Espirito Santo has placed his Nottingham Forest stars immediately on notice by saying their current squad is too big for his liking.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Portuguese has signed a deal until June 2026, worth about \u00a35million per season, to replace the sacked Steve Cooper and his first task will be to improve a run of one win from 13 games, starting at home to Bournemouth on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Nuno did not talk explicitly about his plans for January but it is clear he wishes to reduce the size of the playing group. At least there will be two familiar faces \u2013 Willy Boly and Morgan Gibbs-White, who played for Nuno at Wolves.<\/p>\n
\u2018I have never managed a squad of this size,\u2019 said Nuno. \u2018That\u2019s a challenge for us as well but it\u2019s a new chance for everyone, like the players who have not played regularly before.<\/p>\n
\u2018I want everyone to be involved and to be committed so we can have more options. I can promise we will be an organised team who will give everything they have.\u2019<\/p>\n

It was a pleasure to be at Tottenham. Things did not go well and we move forward. Now it is a pleasure to be at Forest.<\/p>\n \u2018What Steve did here was huge \u2013 getting Forest back in the Premier League. We will try to improve his amazing legacy.\u2019<\/p>\n
