The entire top rope turnbuckle broke off and Dijak is bleeding\u2026looks like it wasn\u2019t planned&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Wtf the ring just broke on NXT lol,\u2019 one user was quick to point out.<\/p>\n<p>Another wrote: \u2018The ring broke! Someone missed the quality control check earlier today #WWENXT\u2019<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I can\u2019t tell if that rope shoot broke or not but it looked damn close,&#8217; another fan wrote.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s worth noting that the &#8216;exploding ring&#8217; is not an uncommon event in the WWE, with the most famous example being between Big Show and Brock Lesnar in 2003.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>While it hasn&#8217;t been planned 100% of the time, it&#8217;s fair to say 90% of the times it has been.<\/p>\n<p>Just days prior, fans were left stunned after\u00a0CM Punk&#8217;s surprise NXT Deadline appearance.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Just weeks after being sacked by AEW, Punk returned to the WWE in November, having left the company nearly a decade ago on frosty terms.<\/p>\n<p>Following his return, Punk made an appearance at WWE NXT Deadline on Saturday night and it&#8217;s left fans eager to know which brand he&#8217;ll be signing with.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/13\/10\/78906413-12858749-image-a-26_1702463503718.jpg\" height=\"250\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/13\/10\/78906411-12858749-image-a-25_1702463501439.jpg\" height=\"118\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/13\/10\/78906409-12858749-image-a-24_1702463499136.jpg\" height=\"151\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Fans were left stunned after the ring broke during the NXT event<\/p>\n<p>Since returning to the WWE, the former world champion has appeared on both RAW and SmackDown before now appearing on NXT.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span>PWInsider report that Punk&#8217;s appearance was pitched on Friday at the WWE SmackDown taping.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Per the report, Punk was not hidden backstage, and he was available to NXT talent throughout his time at the venue.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Haus of Wrestling report that Punk was described as being &#8216;great around everyone&#8217;
