Only the captain should approach referees &#8211; Listen to It&#8217;s All Kicking Off\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Francesco Totti&#8217;s ex-wife has spoken publicly for the first time on the &#8216;betrayal&#8217; and &#8216;jealousy&#8217; that concluded with the couple&#8217;s divorce.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Described as Italy&#8217;s answer to Posh and Becks, Totti and Ilary Blasi, who married in 2005 on national TV and have three children together, separated last year and became tangled in a bitter divorce.<\/p>\n<p>Blasi, who had been accused by Totti of being unfaithful, has kept herself out of the spotlight until now, deciding that she wanted to tell her version of events on the breakdown of their marriage.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I spent a year and a half observing and understanding what had happened. I have read and listened to all the different points of view and opinions. But it was my story and I always put my face in everything I did. Some have even made my children suffer.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>That, however, is a testimony that Blasi disputes.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span>In her TV appearance she added: &#8216;He is the father of my children. Maybe he was confused, scared, maybe it was a route of easier escape, but nothing like what we feel these days.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>&#8216;Other betrayals? Probably yes, but I have no proof. But it didn&#8217;t work.&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Their marriage deteriorated after Blasi had hired a private investigator to track her husband following her belief that he was being unfaithful.<\/p>\n<p>In a Netflix documentary, &#8216;Unico&#8217;, it explains how Blasi came to know the relationship between Totti and his new girlfriend Noemi Bocchi.<\/p>\n<p>It transpired that Blasi learned of their relationship through a play-date her daughter Isabel had had. They would separate soon after.<\/p>\n<p>It has been a tit-for-tat last 12 to 18 months amid the divorce settlement.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Things quickly descended into allegations of theft last year as Totti accused Blasi of &#8216;running off&#8217; with his Rolex watches &#8211; and as a result he is said to have promised to keep her expensive items under lock and key until they were returned.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to Corriere della Sera, he said: &#8216;What was I supposed to do?
