Listen to the debate on It&#8217;s All Kicking Off\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Robbie Savage&#8217;s praise of Bruno Fernandes immediately backfired as the United skipper gave away a free-kick which led to a Galatasaray goal.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Portuguese had warranted merit for his stunning 18th-minutes goal which gave Erik ten Hag&#8217;s side a two-goal advantage in their crucial Champions League clash.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But fans were taken aback by his insistence on lauding the midfielder for tracking back during a subsequent attack.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Savage was made to regret his adulation only moments later when former Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech\u00a0gave the Turkish side a route back into the game from the resulting set-piece.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Viewers quickly took to social media to poke fun at the United academy product, with one writing on X: &#8216;Robbie Savage there fawning over Fernandes as he brings down the Galatasaray player on the edge of the box, only for United to concede from it.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/29\/19\/78387231-12806247-image-a-16_1701285034632.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Robbie Savage was immediately made to pay for his praise of Bruno Fernandes<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/29\/19\/78387259-12806247-image-a-17_1701285074912.jpg\" height=\"139\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/29\/19\/78387263-12806247-image-a-18_1701285099590.jpg\" height=\"140\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Fans took to social media to poke fun at Robbie Savage who was on TNT Sport&#8217;s commentary<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/29\/19\/78387229-12806247-image-a-15_1701285026698.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Fernandes received a yellow card for his trouble and then watched on as Galatasaray grabbed a goal back<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/29\/19\/78387255-12806247-image-a-19_1701285162715.jpg\" height=\"138\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/29\/19\/78387257-12806247-image-a-20_1701285342562.jpg\" height=\"124\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Ziyech&#8217;s first-half free-kick gave the Turkish side a route back into the vital Champions League clash<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Fernandes is a great player but savage desperately trying to make him seem like a great captain.&#8217; Another wrote. &#8216;&#8221;See look at him chase back\u2019 like that\u2019s not a normal requirement.
