LIV Golf has reportedly offered Jon Rahm its biggest deal to date in an attempt to lure the Masters champion away from the PGA Tour.

Rahm, 29, is the breakaway’s latest target as it continues aggressively poaching the world’s top golfers, despite its current, albeit seemingly insecure, truce with the PGA Tour.

And it appears the rebel circuit is pulling out all the stops in its effort to convince the Spaniard to jump ship.

The World No. 3 has been offered a deal worth $600million (£474m) to join the likes of Phil Mickelson, Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka in signing with LIV Golf, according to Front Office Sports.

The blockbuster figure would be the biggest paycheck LIV has shelled out if it is successful in securing the two-time major winner’s signature.

Greg Norman’s rebel circuit has reportedly offered the Spaniard a deal worth $600million

It is also a dramatic increase on the figure Rahm is believed to have initially been offered. It would be double the offer vastly in excess of the $300m he reportedly rejected ahead of the breakaway’s inaugural season in 2022.

Mickelson, the breakaway’s chief rebel, is thought to currently be the biggest benefactor of LIV’s lucrative signing-on deals, reportedly accepting an offer of $200m last year.

Meanwhile, major winners Koepka, DeChambeau and Dustin Johnson are all believed to have signed deals worth $100m-plus.

However, the breakaway failed in what would have been its most stunning coup when Tiger Woods rejected a reported offer of $800m.

The breakaway’s rebels are said to be increasingly confident of landing the Masters winner

Golf outlet Bunkered reported last week that Rahm is in negotiations with Greg Norman’s circuit with players on LIV Golf increasingly confident that they could land the Spaniard.

At the US Open in June, Rahm admitted that he saw the appeal of LIV Golf but insisted that his heart remained with the PGA Tour.

However, Rahm has maintained his close friendship with Sergio Garcia, even advocating for his fellow Spaniard and other European defectors to be considered for the Ryder Cup team, and has removed himself form the exchange of jibes between LIV Golf players and PGA Tour loyalists.

Additionally, he pulled out of Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s venture, TGL, earlier this month.
