Conor Benn versus Chris Eubank Jnr is set to be finalised THIS WEEK&#8230; despite ongoing legal battle over two failed drugs tests from Benn that saw previous bout cancelled<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jnr are expected to finally fight on February 3<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Their previous bout was cancelled after two failed drugs tests from Benn\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Tyson Fury MUST care about legacy with Oleksandr Usyk next year &#8211; The Hook\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A deal for Conor Benn&#8217;s controversial fight with Chris Eubank Jr is expected to be finalised this week, despite the ongoing legal situation tied to Benn&#8217;s two failed drugs tests.<\/p>\n<p><span>Mail Sport<\/span> understands only minor details on Eubank&#8217;s side are yet to be resolved, with an announcement believed to be imminent for a bout that will take place on February 3.<\/p>\n<p>The working target is for the fight to be staged at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium between Spurs&#8217;s home games on January 30 and February 10.<\/p>\n<p>While figures involved in the fight believe it is almost a done deal and that Benn and Eubank will finally step in the ring 10 weeks from now, the biggest complication remains Benn&#8217;s status with the British Boxing Board of Control.<\/p>\n<p>Sources say Benn&#8217;s promoters have approached the Board to request they sanction the bout, but that could prove to be wishful thinking at a time when both the Board and UK Anti-Doping are pursuing an appeal against the decision taken in July by the independent National Anti-Doping Panel to lift the fighter&#8217;s temporary suspension.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/27\/16\/73891993-0-Benn_s_grudge_match_with_Eubank_Jr_left_was_axed_last_year_after-a-1_1701102994234.jpg\" height=\"418\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>A deal for Chris Eubank Jnr (left) to fight Conor Benn (right) is set to be finalised this week<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/27\/16\/78285317-0-image-a-2_1701103056017.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The working target is for fight to be staged at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on February 3<\/p>\n<p>The process of determining who will hold that appeal is not yet complete \u2013 if it isn&#8217;t heard by the National Anti-Doping Panel then <span>Mail Sport <\/span>understands the alternative would be the Court of Arbitration for Sport.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It remains to be seen, therefore, if the Board would give their blessing to the fight when they are locked in such a fraught legal situation.<\/p>\n<p>If the Board do not sanction the fight, the parties might opt to take the controversial step of proceeding with licenses from a different authority.<\/p>\n<p>Benn and Eubank had initially signed to fight last October before the showdown was scrapped when Benn&#8217;s two positive tests for clomifene came to light.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He made his comeback in a low-key fight in the US in September.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/27\/16\/75642515-0-During_an_interview_with_Mail_Sport_last_month_Benn_revealed_he_-a-3_1701103076302.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>During an interview with Mail Sport recently, Benn revealed he had struggled to come to terms with the fact people will always associate his name with last year&#8217;s positive drug tests<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/i\/pix\/2023\/10\/25\/The%20Hook_Promo_Desktop.636.png\"><br \/>\nSource: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/sport\/boxing\/article-12796557\/Conor-Benn-fight-Chris-Eubank-Jnr-announcement-date.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Read Full Article<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>EXCLUSIVE: It&#8217;s ON!
