Como welcomed Feralpisalo to their picturesque corner of Italy, and the game was in the balance when Patrick Cutrone netted for the side – only for VAR to rule it out for a foul on Feralpisalo's Federico Bergonzi.

And as the referee checked the monitor Gaetano Letizia appeared to grab Cutrone's throat as coaching staff from both dugouts tried to pull the teams apart.

Letizia was given his marching orders, and so too was Como's Daniele Baselli. And with bots sides down to 10 men, Alessandro Gabrielloni drilled the ball home to snatch the three points for Como.

“We played a good first half, but we had to finish off the game earlier,” ex-Barcelona man Fabregas said at a post-match press conference.

“Those who came off the bench gave their all, I had told Gabrielloni he would score and it happened. I’ve been feeling pressure since I was a kid and I must manage it. We must always improve and be united to reach our target.”
