1 of 1

Here’s how the leaderboard is shaping up.

-8: Lucas Herbert, Joel Moscatel (ESP). Others: Adrian Meronk (POL) -3, Cameron Davis -3, Robert MacIntyre (SCO) -2, Cameron Smith +2

The story of the first round was Min Woo Lee’s seven-under 64 which catapulted him to within a shot of the lead from unheralded Spaniard Joel Moscatel, who is not even ranked inside the world’s top 100 players.

Lee is certainly determined to be a showman both on and off the course, as was evidenced by his golf bag.

Here’s a report on Australian golf’s biggest rising star and how he’s built a brand as big as his game, while his sister Minjee works her way to the top of the women’s ranks without the fuss.

There weren’t many people watching, and there isn’t really any vision for us to show you, but there’s been a hole-in-one on Royal Queensland’s party hole this morning.

Curtis Luck, the former world No.1 amateur who has had his share of struggles since, aced the 125-metre 17th in front of a very sparse crowd earlier this morning.

Because there’s no daylight savings in Queensland, tee times in the first two rounds have started at 6am local time. It meant by the time Luck plucked a gap wedge into the hole, there weren’t many people on hand to see him dunk the hole-in-one. I bet he wishes it came at about 3pm this afternoon.

I’m sure he’ll remember it for a long time though.

Hello everyone and welcome to our coverage of the second round from the Australian PGA Championship at Royal Queensland in Brisbane.

It’s the first of two big weeks for Australian golf with the Australian Open heading to Sydney next week. There’s so much to look forward to this afternoon with a host of big name players out on the course.

How much did Min Woo Lee enjoy Post Malone’s concert last night? What colour shirt will Adam Scott go for today? Will Cameron Smith have to remind himself what it’s like to desperately try to make the cut?

It’s all in store for us for the rest of the afternoon.

Oh, there’s been some big news already this morning…

Min Woo Lee is hunting the lead in the Australian PGA Championship.Credit: Getty

1 of 1

The leaderboard
