Joelinton was sent off for Brazil on Tuesday night in their World Cup qualifier vs. Argentina as he shoved Rodrigo De Paul in the chest.<\/p>\n
The two were tussling in the second half when Joelinton pushed his opponent – with De Paul going down in dramatic fashion as he grabbed his face.<\/p>\n
While the Newcastle midfielder didn’t appear to make contact with De Paul’s face, he was nonetheless sent off in the 81st minute at the Maracana.<\/p>\n
Argentina were winning 1-0 when the sending off occurred and held on to beat their old foes.<\/p>\n

Eventually, the game kicked off, with the sides combing for 22 fouls in a scrappy first half.<\/p>\n
Nicolas Otamendi headed in the lone goal of the match in the 63rd minute as Argentina secured a 1-0 win.<\/p>\n
La Albiceleste are top of South American qualifying with 15 points, while Brazil have just seven points through six games.<\/p>\n
