Ted Hopkins, the former Carlton footballer best known for his role in the biggest comeback in VFL\/AFL grand final history, has died aged 74.<\/p>\n
Carlton confirmed on Tuesday that Hopkins, a member of the club\u2019s famed 1970 premiership team, coached by Ron Barassi, had died.<\/p>\n

He is survived by his daughter Erica.<\/p>\n A diminutive rover, Hopkins started on the bench in the 1970 grand final.
