Formula One breaks new ground this weekend as Las Vegas hosts its first Grand Prix in over 40 years and the first ever on the streets of Sin City. Over 100,000 people are expected in the gambling capital of America just for the big race alone, in what promises to be one of the busiest few days the Strip has ever witnessed.<\/p>\n

World Champion Max Verstappen will be hoping to notch a record 18th victory in a single season, with the drivers’ championship already sewn up. There is sure to be a throng of celebrities in attendance for a unique event that will challenge Monte Carlo for glamour.<\/p>\n

The Las Vegas Grand Prix is a night race and will get underway at 10pm local time on Saturday, November 18. That means you may need to set your alarm if you want to watch the race live in the UK as it will start at 6am on Sunday, November 19.<\/p>\n

The decision to hold the Las Vegas Grand Prix at night will have a significant effect on the racing conditions. According to Weather.com the temperature will drop to just 10 degrees by the time the red lights go out. There is also a 20 per cent chance of rain.<\/p>\n

The combination of low temperatures, a new track surface and the possability of rain could make for some very interesting race conditions that will tactically test the teams to the limit.<\/p>\n
