Lewis Hamilton has explained his confusion regarding how drivers and team personnel will navigate the journey between the circuit and the city this weekend at the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix.

This event has been the headliner throughout the 2023 season with fans and drivers alike looking forward to F1’s return to Sin City. The sport has travelled to Las Vegas on two occasions before in 1981 and 1982 for the Caesars Palace Grand Prix, but this is the first time cars will ever race on the city streets.

In order to make the event – which is set to be one of the most lavish and eye-catching in F1 history – a possibility, F1 purchased land on which to build the brand-new pit building, laying the foundations for what is set to be ten seasons worth of single-seater racing in the city.

Speaking to Sky Sports F1 ahead of the weekend, he said: “I just don’t understand how we’re gonna move around this place. I don’t understand how we’re gonna get from the track to the hotel.

Click here to join our WhatsApp community to be the first to receive breaking and exclusive F1 news.

Don’t miss… Red Bull driver goes rogue during race and faces Helmut Marko backlash[LATEST]

“It’s gonna be such a compact spot [with] so many people. But I think it’s gonna be wild. It’s gonna be a wild experience and the best thing is just to go with an open mind, not having any pre-determined ideas of what it’s gonna be like and just take it all in when you get there. Reigning world champion Max Verstappen is one of those who haven’t been won over by the hype and promotion surrounding the event.

More F1…
