Raheem Sterling was involved in a bizarre encounter\u00a0after Chelsea’s crazy 4-4 draw with Manchester City.<\/p>\n
The Blues forward and stoppage-time penalty scorer Cole Palmer were asked to give their post-match views after their pivotal roles in securing a point against their former club at Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n
But the interview took a strange turn when\u00a0Sky Sports reporter Patrick Davison appeared to spot grass in Sterling’s eye.<\/p>\n

‘Oh you’ve got… come here,’ he said, but the Chelsea man resisted and replied: ‘You’re gonna put some more dirt in my eye.’<\/p>\n
The smiling England star pushed it away and wiped his eye with his own shirt.<\/p>\n
Davison then admitted he could not remember his question.<\/p>\n
It was a strange ending to a\u00a0high-quality contest saw City lead in contentious circumstances with Erling Haaland converting from the spot after Marc Cucurella was adjudged to have pulled the Norwegian down.<\/p>\n
Chelsea turned the game around when Thiago Silva glanced home Conor Gallagher’s corner at the near post and Raheem Sterling, another City old boy, turned in Reece James’ cross.<\/p>\n

But City were level before the break as the unmarked Manuel Akanji headed in Bernardo Silva’s cross.<\/p>\n
City went in front again when Haaland scrambled in Julian Alvarez’s cross at the far post two minutes after the restart.<\/p>\n
Yet Chelsea again battled back and drew level in the 67th minute, with Nicolas Jackson pouncing after Ederson pushed out Gallagher’s low drive.<\/p>\n
Rodri thought he had won it for City when his 86th-minute drive took a wicked deflection, but Palmer kept his nerve to give Chelsea a deserved share of the spoils.<\/p>\n
