The Hook\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Tyson Fury congratulated &#8216;brother&#8217; Tom Aspinall and said it &#8216;couldn&#8217;t have happened to a more lovely person&#8217; after he became UFC heavyweight champion.<\/p>\n<p>Aspinall, a former sparring partner for Fury,\u00a0became the third British UFC\u00a0champion in history by sensationally knocking out Russian powerhouse Sergei Pavlovich in the first round at UFC 295.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The 30-year-old, who took the fight on two-and-a-half-weeks notice, obliterated the man he described as the &#8216;scariest in the UFC&#8217; and he left an impression on Fury with his statement display at Madison Square Garden in New York.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Just want to say a massive shoutout to my brother Tom Aspinall, the new UFC\u00a0heavyweight champion of the world!&#8217; Fury said on Instagram.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;God bless you Tom, all the best brother. Another top-tier athlete in the making!&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Fury, the WBC heavyweight boxing champion, brought Aspinall into his camp ahead of his clash with Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia in a bid to better understand the complexities of facing an MMA fighter.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to TNT Sports recently on Aspinall&#8217;s qualities, Fury said:\u00a0&#8216;He&#8217;s a good fighter, probably could have made it as a pro boxer.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I was quite sure he would have gone on and won a world championship but he had a derailment with his knee, and that fell out, now he&#8217;s had his comeback trail. I think he can do it. If you ever get a chance to do something and you&#8217;re scared to do it&#8211; you should f***ing do it.&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Aspinall went on to praise Pavlovich, as he had throughout fight week, before dedicating the belt to his father.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;He&#8217;s a big scary guy.
