with Erik ten Hag&#8217;s side more likely to crash out at the group stage than reach the last-16<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Man United have been given only the 15th highest chance of lifting the trophy<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Erik ten Hag&#8217;s side have a higher chance of dropping out at the group phase<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>CHRIS SUTTON: Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is a CLOWN &#8211;\u00a0It&#8217;s All Kicking Off<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Manchester United have been given a lower chance of winning the Champions League than 14 other participating teams including Newcastle, according to Opta&#8217;s supercomputer.<\/p>\n<p>Eddie Howe&#8217;s side, as well as the likes of RB Leipzig, Real Sociedad and Porto are all ahead of Ten Hag&#8217;s side in Opta&#8217;s predictions &#8211; with United given just a 0.7 per chance of winning Europe&#8217;s most prestigious trophy.<\/p>\n<p>The Red Devils are currently third in their group, four points behind Bayern Munich and one behind Galatasaray, ahead of Wednesday&#8217;s trip to Copenhagen.<\/p>\n<p>With half the group stage left to play, United have been given just a 46.2 per chance of reaching the last-16 &#8211; 96% last 16, 6.9% to win<\/p>\n<p>Barcelona &#8211; 99.8% last 16, 6.4% to win<\/p>\n<p>Atletico Madrid &#8211; 84.8% last 16,\u00a0 3.5% to win<\/p>\n<p>Napoli &#8211; 94.5% last 16, 3.1% to win\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0PSG &#8211; 80.7% last 16, 2.7% to win<\/p>\n<p><span>Newcastle<\/span> &#8211; 54.4% last 16, 2.5% to win<\/p>\n<p>RB Leipzig &#8211; 97.4% last 16, 2.4% to win<\/p>\n<p>Real Sociedad &#8211; 93.1% last 16, 1.8% to win\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Porto &#8211; 96.7% last 16, 1.3% to win<\/p>\n<p>Dortmund &#8211; 49.1% last 16, 1.2% to win<\/p>\n<p><span>Man United<\/span>\u00a0&#8211; 46.2% last 16, 0.7% to win\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Feyenoord &#8211; 74.8% last 16, 0.5% to win\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Your browser does not support iframes.<\/p>\n<p>They have a 36.4 per chance of winning the competition, more than double that of nearest challengers Real Madrid (13.1 per cent) and Bayern Munich (12.9 per cent).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Arsenal, who are back in Europe&#8217;s top competition this season after five years out, are predicted to have the fourth best chance of lifting the trophy for what would be a first time at 7.5 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>They have a 15.9 per chance of reaching the final, not far ahead of Inter Milan at 15.3 and Barcelona at 14.3.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The closest they have come was their 2-1 loss to Barcelona in a dramatic final back in 2006.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Newcastle who had been out of the Champions League for two decades have a 2.5 per cent chance of winning the competition &#8211; behind the likes of Inter Milan, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Napoli and Paris Saint-Germain.<\/p>\n<p>The Magpies are in a fierce battle to make it out of the group stage, which Opta predicts they have a 54 per cent of doing so &#8211; compared to Borussia Dortmund&#8217;s 49 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>To finish second in their group, Newcastle have a 28.9 per cent, while Dortmund are at 28.6 per cent &#8211; suggesting how closely Opta predicts the &#8216;Group of Death&#8217; will be.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Of the 16 clubs listed, Man United are seen to have the lowest chance of any of reaching the last eight.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>With their 18.1 per cent even lower than Feyenoord &#8211;
