Manchester United have been given a lower chance of winning the Champions League than 14 other participating teams including Newcastle, according to Opta’s supercomputer.<\/p>\n
Eddie Howe’s side, as well as the likes of RB Leipzig, Real Sociedad and Porto are all ahead of Ten Hag’s side in Opta’s predictions – with United given just a 0.7 per chance of winning Europe’s most prestigious trophy.<\/p>\n
The Red Devils are currently third in their group, four points behind Bayern Munich and one behind Galatasaray, ahead of Wednesday’s trip to Copenhagen.<\/p>\n
With half the group stage left to play, United have been given just a 46.2 per chance of reaching the last-16 – meaning Opta’s predictions suggest there is a higher chance they will slip out at the current phase of the competition.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Defending champions Manchester City meanwhile are still seen as overwhelming favourites to lift the trophy at the end of the season.<\/p>\n
