They hold the record for the most goals against in the Championship and haven\u2019t won at home in over a month.<\/p>\n<p>For a team that were one of the favourites for promotion last season \u2013 having been relegated from the Premier League just over a year ago and still enjoying the financial benefits of that spell \u2013 this was far from ideal for those in and around the club.<\/p>\n<p>David Wagner, the German-American manager who came in to try and turn around the fortunes of the Norfolk outfit in January this year following the unpopular tenure of Dean Smith, finished the 2022-23 season with Norwich 13th in the table.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/05\/13\/77424429-0-image-a-1_1699192752355.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Sammie Szmodics scored twice for Blackburn Rovers as they beat Norwich City 3-1 away<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/05\/14\/77424579-12712655-image-a-15_1699193458196.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>David Wagner came in to turn things around at the Canaries, but they now sit in 18th place<\/p>\n<p>And this season isn\u2019t looking any better \u2013 the Canaries went into the match 17th, two spots behind their Lancashire opponents, and ended the day 18th.
