Cyle Larin has gone from a schoolboy in Canada to having fans cheering his name around the world – and is even the all-time top scorer for his country.<\/p>\n
Now 38, Larin is best known for scoring 39 goals across 108 games for Besiktas in Turkey as well as netting 20 times in his last 32 games for Canada, to become their all-time record scorer.<\/p>\n
Now signed to Mallorca on the Balearic Islands in Spain, he is ready to impress in his new chapter under American owners with a connection to Premier League icon Graeme Le Saux.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Daily Star Sport<\/b>, Larin said of his pre-Spain career: "Yeah, I played in America and then obviously the culture is different to when you go to Turkey. <\/p>\n
"I love playing in both places and especially in Turkey. I did well there and fit well and I love playing there – it was a great time."<\/p>\n
Born in Canada to a Jamaican family, the striker played for the UConn Huskies at the University of Connecticut before joining developmental outfit Sigma FC.<\/p>\n

From there he caught the eye of MLS outfit Orlando City, scoring 44 goals across 89 games before joining Besiktas in 2018.<\/p>\n
His goal tally was most impressive in 2020\/21 when he managed 19 league goals and 23 in all competitions to be named the Super Lig Forward of the Season after winning the title.<\/p>\n
A loan move to Belgium and permanent switch to Club Brugge wasn't as successful, with Larin getting his career back on track with eight goals for Valladolid last season and subsequent Mallorca switch.<\/p>\n

Larin added: "Coming to Spain and when I went to Valladolid, the fans are very welcoming to me and I love the Spanish culture. Off the pitch I can just relax."<\/p>\n
He has also managed 28 goals from 63 Canada appearances including six in qualification to the 2022 World Cup. <\/p>\n
Now looking to find his goalscoring boots at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix, he is working under a exciting ownership group with Le Saux providing his own expertise. <\/p>\n
