Joe Cordina and Edward Vazquez have both made weight for their highly-anticipated IBF super-featherweight title fight in Monte Carlo on Saturday evening.\u00a0<\/p>\n
But, it was Cordina’s fans that stole the show on Friday afternoon – they were heard screaming and chanting his name at the casion as he made his way onto the scales.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Both Conor Benn and Derek Chisora were in attendance, showing their support for the 31-year-old Welshman.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Cordina is looking to defend his title against Vazquez at the Casino de Monte Carlo Salle Medecin after previously beating Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov to reclaim his belt.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Cordina – who tipped the scales at 129.9lbs during Friday’s weigh-in- was forced to vacate his belt last year after sustaining a hand injury that ruled him out of action.<\/p>\n

Cordina is unbeaten in 16 fights since turning professional in 2017 after the 2016 Olympics<\/p>\n
However, Cordina reclaimed his title with a split-decision win over\u00a0Rakhimov in front of his home crowd in Cardiff\u00a0on April 22.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Now he will be looking to defend his title against\u00a0Vazquez – who tipped the scales at 128.8lbs ahead of their bout on Saturday night.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Cordina is excited about the fight in Monte Carlo for a second time and vows to ‘put on another explosive performance’.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
