Erik ten Hag&#8217;s stars moan that their tops and socks are TOO TIGHT &#8211; and are now wearing replica items of adidas&#8217; kit during matches<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Manchester United players have complained their kit is too tight for them<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Adidas are looking into a solution after complaints from some of United&#8217;s stars<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Follow Mail Sport&#8217;s new Man United WhatsApp channel for all the breaking news<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Manchester United players are wearing replica items of kit during matches as the adidas gear is too tight for them, Mail Sport can reveal.<\/p>\n<p>The kitwear company are now looking into a solution after complaints from some of Erik ten Hag\u2019s team, who have not worn the official home socks since the second game of the season.<\/p>\n<p>United goalkeeper, new \u00a347.1million signing Andre Onana, has also had issues with his jersey.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Onana had been wearing the shirt specifically designed for players, with a closer fit than those made available to fans \u2014 but according to sources found it too tight and has now switched to a looser, replica version.<\/p>\n<p>United\u2019s 2-1 victory over Sheffield United on October 21 is thought to have been the final straw for the Cameroon international, who asked to change his top from then on.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/31\/18\/77237301-12694425-image-m-35_1698776800353.jpg\" height=\"425\" width=\"306\"><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/31\/18\/77237303-12694425-image-m-37_1698776816899.jpg\" height=\"425\" width=\"306\"><\/p>\n<p>Several Man United players have complained that the official adidas kit is is too tight for them<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/31\/18\/77237297-12694425-image-a-39_1698776859227.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Adidas are now looking into a solution after complaints from some of the players<\/p>\n<p>Your browser does not support iframes.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, when David de Gea was in goal, complaints were made that the kit was too baggy.<\/p>\n<p>However, Onana has a larger frame than the slight Spaniard and it appears the subsequent adjustments have backfired.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/31\/18\/77237295-12694425-United_players_have_not_worn_the_official_home_socks_since_the_s-a-41_1698777109497.jpg\" height=\"404\" width=\"306\"><\/p>\n<p>United players have not worn the official home socks since the second game of the season, where they lost 2-0 to Tottenham<\/p>\n<p>Players have also complained to Ten Hag and the club\u2019s kit staff that the socks are too tight on their calves.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Some players cut holes in the back of their socks but the switch to fan-issue socks has been used as a temporary solution since the 2-0 defeat at\u00a0Tottenham Hotspur on August 19.<\/p>\n<p>At many clubs, socks now resemble a sleeve, with no foot section. Instead, footballers often use ankle socks which they feel give greater support and grip.<\/p>\n<p>Both United and adidas declined to comment.
