{"id":295606,"date":"2023-10-31T10:24:32","date_gmt":"2023-10-31T10:24:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tellmysport.com\/?p=295606"},"modified":"2023-10-31T10:24:32","modified_gmt":"2023-10-31T10:24:32","slug":"obi-mikel-reveals-the-chelsea-player-who-left-their-pants-on-the-floor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tellmysport.com\/soccer\/obi-mikel-reveals-the-chelsea-player-who-left-their-pants-on-the-floor\/","title":{"rendered":"Obi Mikel reveals the Chelsea player who left their pants on the floor"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>John Obi Mikel reveals the Chelsea player who ALWAYS left their pants on the floor in the dressing room&#8230; as John Terry jokes the former Blues star should have had his underwear binned<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>John Obi Mikel made 372 appearances during 11 years as a player at Chelsea<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><span>He revealed which of his former team-mates was messy in the changing room<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Follow Mail Sport&#8217;s new Chelsea WhatsApp channel for all the breaking news\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>John Obi Mikel has revealed which of his former Chelsea team-mates always left their underwear on the floor in the dressing room.<\/p>\n<p>Mikel, 36, retired in 2022 after an impressive career which included an 11-year-spell at Chelsea from 2006 to 2017.<\/p>\n<p>In total, the Nigerian midfielder racked up 372 appearances for the Blues and won 11 trophies &#8211; including the Champions League and two Premier League titles &#8211; during a hugely successful period for the club.<\/p>\n<p>He was part of a popular Chelsea side, with many Blues legends such as Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard, John Terry and Eden Hazard among Mikel&#8217;s team-mates during his spell.<\/p>\n<p>However, despite the high standards that were set on the pitch, Mikel explained how one of his former colleagues was particularly messy in the changing room.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/31\/09\/77211337-0-image-a-1_1698744413610.jpg\" height=\"302\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel has revealed which of his ex team-mates always used to leave their pants on the floor in the dressing room<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/31\/09\/77211327-0-image-a-2_1698744417513.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Mikel joked about his former messy team-mate alongside Chelsea legend John Terry (left)<\/p>\n<p>The messiness consisted of Michael Ballack &#8211; who made 166 appearances for Chelsea between 2006 to 2010 &#8211; always leaving his pants on the floor.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I just remember a funny story about him when he used to come in the dressing room and get changed,&#8217; Mikel explained on his new podcast, the Obi One podcast, where Terry was a guest.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Bally was a special character but when he walked in, he is a tall, huge guy, and he&#8217;s got a presence about him.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Like JT, Frank (Lampard), Didier (Drogba) &#8211; all of those guys are imposing and Ballack used to walk in jamming and sometimes he would say a lot and sometimes he wouldn&#8217;t and just f*** off straight to his locker and get changed.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;But every time, he would forget his underwear. His underwear was always on the floor, just by his locker.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/31\/09\/77211345-0-image-a-3_1698744449610.jpg\" height=\"426\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Mikel recalled how Michael Ballack&#8217;s underwear would be on the floor in the dressing room<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/31\/09\/77211303-0-image-a-4_1698744456135.jpg\" height=\"300\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Terry, who was laughing at the story, joked they should have binned it to teach him a lesson<\/p>\n<p>Mikel continued:\u00a0&#8216;He would take off his clothes, his trousers and close his locker but his pants were on the floor.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;He would just leave it there and walk off so every time we came in Michael Ballack&#8217;s underwear would be on the floor.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Just pick it up and put it in your locker mate. This was every single time.
