Lewis Hamilton will start today’s Mexican Grand Prix from sixth place after the FIA decided not to penalise him in the aftermath of yesterday’s qualifying session. The Brit was investigated for potentially going too fast under yellow flags but was cleared of any wrongdoing and will keep his place on the grid as a result.<\/p>\n
Max Verstappen, who starts third, was also spared by the FIA along with George Russell after blocking the pit lane to create a gap to the car in front. It remains to be seen whether the Dutchman will be able to claim another Grand Prix victory this evening after being outqualified by both Ferrari drivers last night.<\/p>\n
Charles Leclerc will line up on pole position, with Carlos Sainz just behind in second after Ferrari managed to find some pace against the clock. However, it will certainly be a tough task for both drivers to keep Verstappen behind them over the course of the 71-lap contest.<\/p>\n
