Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that Chelsea don’t have a designated penalty taker and it is instead decided by ‘feeling’.

During Chelsea’ 2-2 draw with Arsenal last weekend at Stamford Bridge, the Blues were awarded a penalty that seemed to stir controversy.

Both Cole Palmer and Raheem Sterling looked as though they wanted to take the spot-kick.

But Enzo Fernandez then seemed to say that former Man City winger Palmer should take it.

Following this controversy, Pochettino has said: ‘There are a few players who can take the penalty. It’s about their feelings. As a coaching staff we give them the responsibility to decide on the pitch,’ he told Goal.

‘For me the most important thing is to have the decision and the personality to go.’
