    Wayne Rooney was targeted by one of his own fans after his Birmingham City side slipped to a miserable home defeat.<\/p>\n

    The former Derby County and DC United boss lost to Middlesbrough on his first game as boss of the Blues and things got even worse as they slipped to a 2-0 defeat at home against Hull City in the Championship on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

    Goals from Liam Delap and Jaden Philogene either side of half-time condemned the hosts to consecutive defeats, having previously won two in a row under John Eustace, before he was replaced by Rooney under Birmingham's new American ownership.<\/p>\n

    According to ESPN, a fan told Rooney to "F*** off back to America" as he headed off the pitch after the fixture – something also reported by numerous supporters online.<\/p>\n

    Co-owner Tom Brady picked their wrong game to fly in for at St Andrew's, as Rooney's former number two Liam Rosenior got one over on him.<\/p>\n

    The team were booed off the pitch as they slipped to 12th in the table, following five wins and five defeats from 13 matches, with their promotion dreams now looking slim.<\/p>\n

    Birmingham had 14 shots on the night but only managed four on target, with Hull dominating possession to move up to eight in the table.<\/p>\n

    Taking to social media, one user said: "Wayne Rooney takes over 7th placed #BCFC & has them in the bottom half of the table by the end of his first week."<\/p>\n

    A Birmingham fan added: "The next two games and we will be at the bottom. Relegation under Rooney."<\/p>\n

    Rooney had been excited for his first home match in charge having brought in Ashley Cole as his assistant boss.<\/p>\n

    In reality, boos rung out around the ground from home supporters after the final whistle with many disagreeing with the departure of Eustace.<\/p>\n
