Everton may be hit with a hammer blow in their quest for top-flight survival as the Premier League have reportedly recommended that they receive a 12-point deduction. The Toffees are fighting an ongoing case related to breaching profit and sustainability rules.<\/p>\n
A turbulent few years on the pitch culminated in Everton clinging onto Premier League status by the skin of their teeth last season. This campaign looks set to be another long slog, with Sean Dyche’s side winning only two of their first nine league matches.<\/p>\n
