Scrum expertise will be missed.<\/p>\n<p><span>Theo Dan 5:\u00a0<\/span>Young dynamo in attack but inexperience at the set-piece meant his game time was limited.<\/p>\n<p><span>Ellis Genge 6:\u00a0<\/span>One of the team\u2019s emotional leaders but collapse of the scrum on Saturday was a nightmare end.<\/p>\n<p><span>Jamie George 8:\u00a0<\/span>Lineout throwing was one of England\u2019s weapons. Borthwick still needs a couple more years from him.<\/p>\n<p><span>Joe Marler 7:\u00a0<\/span>A rock whose strength shored up the scrum post-Eddie Jones. Enjoyed his last dance.<\/p>\n<p><span>Kyle Sinckler 5<span>:\u00a0<\/span><\/span>A difficult campaign with injuries. Lost his starting jersey and will have a tough review.<\/p>\n<p><span>Will Stuart 5:\u00a0<\/span>Could be England\u2019s starting tighthead in the Six Nations as the next best scrummager after Cole.<\/p>\n<p><span>Jack Walker 4:\u00a0<\/span>Given one shot off the bench as the lack of depth at hooker in the absence of Luke Cowan-Dickie was exposed.<\/p>\n<p><span>Locks Ollie Chessum 7:\u00a0<\/span>Here to stay. Will take heart from muscling up against Eben Etzebeth.<\/p>\n<p><span>George Martin 7:\u00a0<\/span>What an introduction against the Boks. A hard-hitting enforcer who can take over from Lawes.<\/p>\n<p><span>Dave Ribbans 5:\u00a0<\/span>Moving to Toulon so his Test days are numbered. Not as dynamic as his contemporaries.<\/p>\n<p><span>Tom Curry 6:\u00a0<\/span>So physical but his campaign will be remembered for his red card against Argentina.<\/p>\n<p><span>Ben Earl 9:\u00a0<\/span>England\u2019s breakthrough star, proving himself as a big-game player. Should own the No 8 jersey for a while.<\/p>\n<p><span>Courtney Lawes 8:\u00a0<\/span>What a servant. Covered so much ground to dominate rucks and tackles in his final World Cup campaign.<\/p>\n<p><span>Lewis Ludlam 5:\u00a0<\/span>Less prominent than he was during the Six Nations but always radiates positivity.<\/p>\n<p><span>Billy Vunipola 5:\u00a0<\/span>Always playing catch-up after suspension. Test rugby has moved on to more dynamic No 8s.<\/p>\n<p><span>Jack Willis 5:\u00a0<\/span>A star of French club rugby but didn\u2019t break into the starting team before his injury. Now ineligible.<\/p>\n<p><span>Danny Care 7:\u00a0<\/span>Had some match-winning moments off the bench. Unfortunate not to start.<\/p>\n<p><span>Alex Mitchell 7:\u00a0<\/span>Went from being left out of the squad to the starting 9. Showed inexperience in early rounds but kicked well against Boks.<\/p>\n<p><span>Ben Youngs 5:\u00a0<\/span>A glittering international career reached a quiet finale as England\u2019s most capped player played a bit-part role.<\/p>\n<p><span>Owen Farrell 7:\u00a0<\/span>Proved his big-game status with drop goals against Fiji and the Boks. Abrasiveness still rubs people up the long way.<\/p>\n<p><span>George Ford 7:\u00a0<\/span>Delivered a performance for the ages against Argentina in England\u2019s opening match. So smart but lacks Farrell\u2019s physicality.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/22\/20\/76867265-12659631-image-a-6_1698003919998.jpg\" height=\"447\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Ollie Chessum and Jamie George both had strong tournaments but will still be gutted<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/22\/20\/76867501-12659631-image-a-7_1698004000139.jpg\" height=\"371\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>South Africa were forced to dig very deep to claim the win and set up the New Zealand clash<\/p>\n<p><span>Marcus Smith 6:\u00a0<\/span>Shoehorned in at 15 to leave questions about his long-term position. But he has too much attacking talent to be cast aside.<\/p>\n<p><span>Ollie Lawrence 5:\u00a0<\/span>Still looks like the most natural successor to Tuilagi but didn\u2019t have the game-breaking impact he wanted.<\/p>\n<p><span>Joe Marchant 7:\u00a0<\/span>Adapted to Borthwick\u2019s game plan so well with his athletic ability. Imminent move to Paris is a real dilemma.<\/p>\n<p><span>Manu Tuilagi 7:\u00a0<\/span>Perhaps the final flourish for the old wrecking ball. Finally had some luck in avoiding injuries.<\/p>\n<p><span>Henry Arundell 6:\u00a0<\/span>Blazing five-try cameo against Chile but does not yet have the aerial prowess to fit the kick-heavy game plan.<\/p>\n<p><span>Elliot Daly 7:\u00a0<\/span>Turned up in the semis with his best game of the competition. Lack of tries remains a team downfall.<\/p>\n<p><span>Jonny May 7:\u00a0<\/span>Seized his opportunity as a late call-up. Used experience to adapt to game plan but now likely to make way.<\/p>\n<p><span>Max Malins 5:\u00a0<\/span>Slipped out of favour as Daly and May locked down the wing jerseys. Move to Bristol to play full-back will be fascinating.<\/p>\n<p><span>Freddie Steward 7:\u00a0<\/span>A titan under heavy pressure against the Boks.
