{"id":293304,"date":"2023-10-05T16:24:43","date_gmt":"2023-10-05T16:24:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tellmysport.com\/?p=293304"},"modified":"2023-10-05T16:24:43","modified_gmt":"2023-10-05T16:24:43","slug":"dan-burn-reveals-three-very-surprising-football-shirts-he-has-framed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tellmysport.com\/soccer\/dan-burn-reveals-three-very-surprising-football-shirts-he-has-framed\/","title":{"rendered":"Dan Burn reveals three VERY surprising football shirts he has framed"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Newcastle defender Dan Burn reveals the three VERY surprising football shirts he has framed on his wall after he scored in the Magpies&#8217; Champions League thrashing of PSG<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>The French side were stunned last night when they lost 4-1 at St James&#8217; Park<strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The Newcastle defender told reporters he&#8217;s &#8216;waiting for someone to wake me up&#8217;\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Newcastle defender Dan Burn has revealed three very interesting football shirts he has framed at home &#8211; and they are\u00a0not who you would expect.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Playing their first Champions League at home in 20 years, the Magpies marked the occasion in style as they thrashed Paris Saint-Germain 4-1 on Wednesday night to move top of Group F with four points in two games.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Following the game, Burn &#8211; who also scored in the match &#8211; was asked\u00a0if any of his fellow teammates managed to snag Kylian\u00a0Mbappe&#8217;s shirt to which he replied: &#8216;I&#8217;m not sure, you&#8217;ll have to ask.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>He then added:\u00a0&#8216;It&#8217;s funny with shirts nowadays though, you can just go on YouTube and see that you&#8217;ve played against them so I haven&#8217;t asked for anyone&#8217;s shirt.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I&#8217;ve got a cracking collection&#8230; I&#8217;ve got Peter Crouch&#8217;s,\u00a0Per Mertesacker\u00a0and Wayne Routledge as one of the only three ones I&#8217;ve got. I&#8217;m happy &#8211; get them framed on the wall.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/05\/15\/76207377-12598237-image-a-68_1696517607162.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Many Newcastle players were said to have scrambled at the full-time whistle to get Mbappe&#8217;s shirt\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Miguel Almiron became the first Newcastle player to score in the competition since Shearer scored against Inter Milan at the San Siro as he put the hosts in front with less than 20 minutes gone.<\/p>\n<p>Local boys Burn and Sean Longstaff scored either side of half-time to put Eddie Howe&#8217;s men three goals to the good, before Lucas Hernandez headed home a consolation goal for the Ligue 1 champions.<\/p>\n<p>Fabian Schar&#8217;s wonder strike late on capped a memorable night for the Toon Army and kickstarted a party that is sure to leave some sore heads in its wake.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Shearer&#8217;s may be one of them, if his post on the social media platform previously known as Twitter was anything to go by.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;As days and nights go that\u2019s a f*****g Belta (sic),&#8217; he wrote.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Hangover coming!!! What a performance man.&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Newcastle legend shared a picture of himself having a pint with former Newcastle midfielder Rob Lee ahead of the game and was then in the stands at St James&#8217; Park.<\/p>\n<p>TNT Sport cameras showed him taking in the celebrations at full-time, as the crowd erupted.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/05\/15\/76207307-12598237-image-a-69_1696517609736.jpg\" height=\"401\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Burn said he has the shirts of Peter Crouch, Per Mertesacker and Wayne Routledge framed at home<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on commentary, Jermaine Jenas noted that his former Newcastle teammate looked emotional as the final whistle went.<\/p>\n<p>Up until tonight, Newcastle had last tasted victory in the Champions League on 26 26 February 2003, when they beat Bayern Leverkusen 3-1 at St James&#8217;
