With 16 rounds of the season already down, Hamilton is one of just two drivers &#8211; the other being, of course, Max Verstappen &#8211; to score points at every race.<\/p>\n<p>This consistency means that Hamilton sits 75 points clear of his Mercedes team-mate in the Drivers\u2019 Championship standings heading into a sprint weekend in Qatar. OK, he\u2019s no longer a rookie, he\u2019s kind of more established in the team now. But I find it really interesting because, at some point, there\u2019s going to be a changing of the guard on that team.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow hard does Russell push it now, in order to sort of gain authority, gain acceptance? Obviously that mistake in Singapore, he said himself: \u2018What am I, a rookie?\u2019 That was a mistake that felt [like] inexperience, it didn\u2019t feel like a mistake that Lewis would make.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo I feel that George is keen to assert himself at the moment, he wants to forget Singapore and say, \u2018You know what, I can be a team leader\u2019. There\u2019s no doubt that he can, he\u2019s just not quite to the level of Lewis yet.
