Manchester City are the latest Premier League club to be hit with travel disruption for an away trip in the Champions League.<\/p>\n
The defending European champions are due to fly into Germany later on Tuesday ahead of the Group G clash against RB Leipzig.<\/p>\n
They had been expected to land late afternoon but weather warnings in Saxony have delayed the flight taking Pep Guardiola’s squad.<\/p>\n
The warnings of severe winds in the region are in place until midnight but City’s plan is still to touch down on the eve of the fixture.<\/p>\n
Guardiola’s media duties in Leipzig have been cancelled, with the manager fulfilling those obligations remotely from the club’s training ground this afternoon.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The team had their training session at the City Football Academy earlier in the day as normal.<\/p>\n
Arsenal were also victims of weather problems on the way out to Lens, while Newcastle United were caught in a storm before the goalless draw at AC Milan a fortnight ago.<\/p>\n
Manchester United, meanwhile, also arrived late to their opening game, a 4-3 defeat by Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.<\/p>\n
Guardiola revealed last week that City’s journey back from a Carabao Cup clash at Newcastle was to be taken by coach rather than a plane, which he claimed ate into their recovery time before losing against Wolves three days later.<\/p>\n
