{"id":292872,"date":"2023-10-03T00:24:09","date_gmt":"2023-10-03T00:24:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tellmysport.com\/?p=292872"},"modified":"2023-10-03T00:24:09","modified_gmt":"2023-10-03T00:24:09","slug":"everton-are-set-to-make-castore-their-kit-manufacturer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tellmysport.com\/soccer\/everton-are-set-to-make-castore-their-kit-manufacturer\/","title":{"rendered":"Everton are &apos;set to make Castore their kit manufacturer&apos;"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Everton are &#8216;set to make Castore their kit manufacturer&#8217; despite Aston Villa complaining about controversial &#8216;wet-look&#8217; shirts and Newcastle ditching the supplier just two seasons into \u00a35m-a-year deal<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Castore is set to replace Hummel as Everton&#8217;s kit manufacturer next season<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Aston Villa have complained about the supplier&#8217;s wet-look shirts<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Click HERE to listen to the latest episode of Mail Sport&#8217;s &#8216;It&#8217;s All Kicking Off&#8217;\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Everton will reportedly switch to Castore as their kit manufacturer from next season, despite Aston Villa&#8217;s complaints over their wet-look shirts.<\/p>\n<p>According to The Telegraph, the Toffees have opened talks with the British kit supplier to replace Hummel when the Danish company&#8217;s deal runs out at the end of the season.<\/p>\n<p>The move comes at a time when a number of clubs have ditched Castore or are in the process of doing so.<\/p>\n<p>Villa are expected to agree an early termination of their contract with the supplier, while Newcastle have already triggered an early exit clause and will switch manufacturer from next season.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Castore came under fire last week after it was revealed that the Villa players had complained about their &#8216;wet-look&#8217; shirts that see them become soaked with sweat within minutes.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/03\/00\/76092943-12586677-image-a-8_1696290523311.jpg\" height=\"463\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Castore is set to replace Hummel as Everton&#8217;s kit supplier from next season\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Your browser does not support iframes.<\/p>\n<p>There is a belief that the shirts may be impacting the performance of Unai Emery&#8217;s side as they become heavy with sweat quickly, and concerns have been growing over the women&#8217;s team usage of the kit ahead of their WSL campaign opener on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p><span>Mail Sport<\/span> reported on Thursday that Wolves are believed to have had the same concerns about their kit during the 2022-23 campaign, but that these complaints did not become public.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Villa have been discussing a top-priority short-term replacement shirt with their kit supplier and are keen to apply pressure on the manufacturer, although the issue could take weeks to solve.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson for Castore said in a statement on Thursday that the company acknowledged that time was of the essence to find a solution to the problems faced by both the men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s teams.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;There has been some media speculation about a potential issue with the football kit supplied by Castore to Aston Villa Football Club,&#8217; the statement read.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;We are working closely in collaboration with the club to address this issue as quickly as possible to meet the standards we expect. We would like to thank the club for their patience and support to date.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;As a proud new British brand, we always hold ourselves to the highest of standards and strive to do everything we can to constantly improve the performance of our products. This means addressing any customer concerns with promptness and humility.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/03\/00\/76092947-12586677-image-a-2_1696290370724.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Villa raised concerns about their kit becoming too heavy due to being drenched in sweat<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/03\/00\/76043715-12586677-Alisha_Lehmann_started_for_Aston_Villa_who_were_reportedly_dread-a-4_1696290434962.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The issue affected Villa&#8217;s women team too, with players reportedly &#8216;dreading&#8217;
