There were four different scorers against Bournemouth \u2014 Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz and Ben White\u00a0\u2014 just as there had been in the 4-0 win against PSV less than two weeks ago.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This season has already produced nine different marksmen in all competitions for the Gunners and there were 19 last term \u2014 both are more than any other Premier League team. The burden of scoring is not being placed upon one or two forwards, but a collective unit.<\/p>\n<p>Sure, a prolific central striker would further strengthen this team and the lack of one could play a factor in fixtures against more exalted opposition.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/01\/21\/76046859-12581955-image-a-14_1696191160605.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Ben White also got on the scoresheet, becoming Arsenal&#8217;s ninth goalscorer of the season\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But every side in the league \u2014 even Manchester City \u2014 have their deficiencies, and it cannot be forgotten that the \u00a3200million Arsenal invested this summer bolstered areas which needed it. That includes Declan Rice in central midfield, and the versatile Jurrien Timber. They have built a formidable squad with strong back-ups.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to City\u2019s 2-1 defeat by Wolves, Pep Guardiola\u2019s team were four points ahead of the Gunners. That is now down to a single point. These are early days, but no side can allow City any advantage out of the blocks, given their reputation for finishing strongly. The champions are ruthless. A build-up of points, even by Christmas, could already see the league out of reach.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/01\/22\/76048695-12581955-image-a-20_1696196032513.jpg\" height=\"436\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Mikel Arteta&#8217;s side are the only top flight team still unbeaten in all competitions\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It is why Arsenal winning on the day City slipped up was significant. The result is a psychological reminder to their Manchester foes that if points are ceded, they will punish them. Such factors can prove pivotal in the long stretch. For now, most important of all is the clash between the two teams this Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Depending on how Tottenham fare against Luton on Saturday \u2014 Spurs are level with Arsenal on points and goal difference \u2014 the Gunners could go top of the league if they beat City.
