Newcastle have defended the quality of Castore products, despite receiving hundreds of complaints from supporters and ditching the kit supplier for adidas.<\/p>\n
Fans have used social media and official channels to highlight what they believe to be poor customer service, excessive delivery times and incorrect orders.<\/p>\n
The \u00a35million-per-year Castore deal was agreed by former owner Mike Ashley in 2021 and was due to run until 2026.\u00a0<\/p>\n
However, Newcastle\u2019s Saudi-led owners negotiated a severance package earlier this year, with adidas replacing Castore from next summer.\u00a0That deal will be worth \u00a340m per season.<\/p>\n
But Newcastle, in light of criticism of Castore this week, said in a statement: \u2018The club has found the quality of Castore products to be extremely high.\u00a0We are proud to be wearing Castore\u2019s well-designed, innovative training and match kits and are appreciative of Castore\u2019s support and contribution to the club\u2019s trajectory over the last three seasons.\u2019<\/p>\n
