(Selections based on a good track)

1. Sunchyme was a short-priced favourite and justified the quote to win at this track two starts ago when leading throughout. She was up in grade at Dubbo last time out and was far from disgraced despite finishing 10th. This is an easier assignment, and she will take plenty of running down.

Racing returns to Moruya on Friday.Credit: Fairfax

Dangers: 2. Dorami hit the line well to score at Wagga before being spelled and has had a trial to prepare for this return to racing. Expect her to be hitting the line hard. 4. Ticklebelly debuted with a win at Gundagai when she did the job well on a heavy track. She can be thereabouts again. 5. Constantinou has been around the money of late and has place claims here.

How to play it: Sunchyme WIN.

4. Jimmy Nails is only lightly raced with three starts to his name, and hasn’t been disgraced when finishing midfield in each of them. He comes out of a handy race at Canberra at his latest run, and with the benefit of improvement, he can figure in the thick of things here.

Dangers: 10. Criminal Art has been in the placings in each of her last four starts, the latest being at Hawkesbury. She has claims here with a repeat of that effort. 9. Barbarama has only had two starts and finished fourth and fifth in each of them at Kembla Grange. She’s drawn well here and is set to run well. 2. Dodgeball ran well when resuming at Canberra and could sneak into the placings in this with a repeat performance.

How to play it: Jimmy Nails EACH WAY.

6. Seaside Sandy raced on the speed and fought on well to score at Queanbeyan two starts ago then backed that up with a solid second at Dubbo last time out. She’s drawn well here and should take some beating from an on-pace position.

Dangers: 7. The Carpet Bagger raced on the speed and battled on fairly to finish fourth at Goulburn at his latest start. He can figure prominently again. 1. Bellman has had two runs back from a spell and has finished midfield in each of them. He should be cherry ripe for this assignment. 2. Go Gazza was placed here last time out and could be in the money again if he runs up to that performance.

How to play it: Seaside Sandy EACH WAY.

1. Ken’ker debuted at Goulburn earlier this year with a fifth placing when he raced on the speed. He since resumed with a second placing at this track earlier in the month when he led and battled on well. He has a good gate here and warrants respect.

Dangers: 6. King Lane was on debut at Goulburn when finishing third on a heavy track. He should get every chance here from the inside alley. 8. Call Me The Breeze ran her best race to date when third at Gundagai last time out and could be placed again without surprising. Dissident Spirit is on debut here and has had two trials to prepare for this.

How to play it: Ken’ker WIN.

1. Espirito is resuming from a spell here and has his big weight offset by the apprentice allowance. He has performed well against better grade than this and was a winner in good company at Albury before being spelled. He is a noted first-up performer and can return a winner here.

Dangers: 4. Iconic Dame was a winner at this track at her latest start and she has a good overall record. She should be given plenty of consideration. 6. Kelvedon Road is resuming here but has a good fresh record and has had a trial to prepare for his first race start in more than a year. 3. Blitzar has been racing well of late and is rarely too far from the action.

How to play it: Espirito WIN.

3. Bella Ace was lining up for her third run in a race when she finished second at Queanbeyan last time out when only beaten in the last couple of strides. She’s drawn barrier one here and will take a prominent position from the outset and take plenty of running down.

Dangers: 10. Bambi Belle showed speed on debut at Kembla Grange and weakened late when sixth of eight. She will have derived benefit from that experience. 11. Martini Mumma is having her first race start but she showed enough in a Canberra trial to be rated a chance despite the wide barrier. 12. Outback Angel ran well on debut and a repeat of that would bring her into contention.

How to play it: Bella Ace EACH WAY.

1. Zarni is a consistent mare that has two wins and four more placings from nine starts. She has placed in each of her latest three starts at Kembla Grange since winning at that track in July. She has the perfect draw here in gate one.

Dangers: 3. Manzoni scored wins at this track and the Sapphire Coast before being spelled. He resumed with a second at Forbes and has since tackled a couple of TAB Highway events in town. 2. Rouge Lune was a winner at this track back in June and has since had three solid midfield performances before finishing second at Gundagai last time out. He can figure in the placings again here. 6. Ballistic Therapy has looked good winning both her runs at this track since resuming.

How to play it: Zarni WIN.

6. Santorini Sun has had three runs back from a spell and followed a fourth at Forbes with a second at this track before breaking through with a maiden success here last time out. He should take up a prominent position here and will give plenty of cheek again.

Dangers: 8. Wilkshire hit the line well when second behind Vancouver’s Crown at Nowra at his latest start and he has the advantage of barrier one here. Don’t take him lightly in this. 10. Burgundy Girl was a narrow winner over 2000m at Queanbeyan at her latest run before a spell and could sprint well fresh here. 2. Hasty Duchess is resuming and has had two trials to prepare for her return.

How to play it: Santorini Sun EACH WAY.

Best Bets Best Value Supplied by Racing NSW

Full form and race replays available at racingnsw.com.au

Sports news, results and expert commentary. Sign up for our Sport newsletter.

Race 1 – 1:14pm: MERINGO STUD COUNTRY BOOSTED SHOWCASE CLASS 1 HANDICAP (1010 METRES)
