I feel like it&#8217;s only right that I&#8217;m a champion of some sort. I feel like the English title is a good place to start my journey towards the bigger belts and the bigger fights.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/27\/13\/75888793-12517791-image-a-1_1695817587604.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Viddal Riley (above) is preparing to fight for the vacant English cruiserweight championship<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/27\/13\/75888799-12517791-image-a-2_1695817667162.jpg\" height=\"392\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The British boxing star boasts a 9-0 record heading into the bout with Nathan Quarless<\/p>\n<p><span>&#8216;Nathan&#8217;s a good opponent. 12-0. He hasn&#8217;t tasted defeat before. He knows how to win. He&#8217;s won more times than me! But he&#8217;s going to have to learn how to lose on the 30th September&#8217;.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>After picking up three decision wins in his opening five bouts, Riley has gone on to record a knockout victory in each of his last four fights. A statistic that will surely strike fear into Quarless ahead of the fight.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>&#8216;I progress every fight. I progress with every opponent,&#8217; Riley said. &#8216;My plan is never to stay still. People last saw me in the ring in June 16th and I&#8217;ve improved since then. I don&#8217;t say that because I think so.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>&#8216;I&#8217;ve stopped my last four opponents, so the odds are high that he&#8217;ll get stopped too. I&#8217;m not putting a round on it. It&#8217;s a 10 round fight &#8211; so he&#8217;s got to try and avoid me for 30 minutes, which is a long time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Despite already have an action-packed 2023, the cruiserweight contender has revealed that he would like to step into the ring one more time this year.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>&#8216;We&#8217;ll try and get one more in this year. Hopefully in December we can get out&#8230; first defense of the English title maybe.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>&#8216;I don&#8217;t know what opportunities will arise from this. We would like to get out again this year and move into the next year, where we&#8217;ll look for the bigger belts. Whether that&#8217;s the British titles, Commonwealth titles &#8211; we&#8217;re always on a level-up process&#8217;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/27\/13\/75888785-12517791-image-a-3_1695817813599.jpg\" height=\"438\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Riley has won his last four fights but producing an emphatic knockout on his opponents<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/27\/13\/72372997-12517791-Riley_believes_his_former_student_KSI_can_knock_out_Fury_when_th-a-4_1695817829175.jpg\" height=\"506\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Riley believes his former student KSI can knock out Fury when they square off later this year<\/p>\n<p><span>After years in the amateur scene, Riley truly broke onto the scene through his work alongside influencer-turned-boxer KSI.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Riley trained KSI during the early stages of his career, heading up preparations for his two fights with Logan Paul.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>And, speaking on the YouTuber&#8217;s upcoming fight with Tommy Fury, he said: &#8216;I haven&#8217;t put a final prediction down because I haven&#8217;t seen enough yet. But I always say the same thing, which is that I&#8217;m backing my guy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>&#8216;I can see how JJ can win and I can see how JJ can lose. But I&#8217;m investing more in the thoughts of how he wins.\u00a0Which is by being the awkward person that he is, landing some power punches and turning it into more of a dog fight rather than a boxing match&#8217;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/27\/13\/75891203-12517791-image-a-5_1695817857299.jpg\" height=\"447\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>KSI (L) and Tommy Fury (R) will settle their differences inside the ring on October 14th<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/27\/13\/72373419-12517791-Fury_snubbed_a_bout_with_Riley_he_has_his_eyes_set_on_KSI_and_Ja-a-11_1695817928540.jpg\" height=\"435\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Fury snubbed a bout with Riley before arranging the fight with influencer-turned-boxer KSI<\/p>\n<p><span>Earlier this year, rumours emerged regarding a potential bout between Riley and Fury however the former Love Island star dismissed his rival and\u00a0claimed that he isn&#8217;t a &#8216;big enough draw&#8217;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Now there&#8217;s more of a chance of Tommy fighting me if he loses to JJ, rather than if he beats him.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Because, if he wins, he can continue to do what he&#8217;s doing in the crossover realm &#8211; rematch this person, rematch that person. But if he loses, he&#8217;s got no choice but to quit or come back to traditional&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p><span>Elsewhere on that card, KSI&#8217;s former rival and now-business partner Logan Paul will face-off against Conor McGregor&#8217;s former team-mate, Dillon Danis.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In a bold prediction, Riley said: &#8216;I think Logan&#8217;s going to kill him, to be honest. Not literally! I need to be careful with my words.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>&#8216;Dillon Danis has never proven that he&#8217;s effective with punching. We know that he&#8217;s a jiu-jitsu specialist.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>&#8216;But when it comes to throwing strikes, I&#8217;ve never seen anything that makes me think he can stop someone like Logan attacking him. That&#8217;s not how I was raised. It&#8217;s not something that I look to do &#8211; ridicule a man&#8217;s fiance, speak about people who have passed away.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;It&#8217;s not really my flavour &#8211; it&#8217;s quite distasteful. But, look at these guys&#8217; backgrounds and what they do. They&#8217;re like master trolls. Nothing is off limits for them.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;If I was ever in that realm, I would match it.
