One hundred losses will have to wait.

The Rockies beat the Dodgers 4-1 to open the final homestand, using three runs in the opening frame plus a Nolan Jones homer to win just their second game against Los Angeles in 10 tries this season.

On the mound, Colorado finally got Chase Anderson his first win in 17 starts with the club. Anderson was effective for a third straight outing, tossing five scoreless innings before giving way to the bullpen, which held up to snap a seven-game losing streak.

Colorado (57-99) continues to get a National League Rookie of the Year-caliber campaign out of Jones. Though he will likely lose out on the award to Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll, Jones flashed his potential as a breakout star again Tuesday.

In addition to his 19th homer of the year to give the Rockies insurance in the seventh inning, Jones also recorded his club-record 18th outfield assist. That is the most in the majors this year and broke Dante Bichette’s club mark over 144 games in 1999.

Kris Bryant, Brendan Rodgers and Elehuris Montero all had first-inning RBIs as Colorado chased Dodgers opener Caleb Ferguson from the game before the end of the opening frame.

Bret Suter, Jake Bird, Justin Lawrence and Tyler Kinley held the fort after Anderson left the game, with Kinley getting his fifth save. The Rockies are now 13-36 against the NL West this year.
