British boxing prodigy Moses Itauma, who used to spar with Anthony Joshua, thinks he's put a curse on the former world heavyweight champion.

In fact, the 18-year-old reckons he might have done the same to Daniel Dubois and Joe Joyce. The undefeated teenager, tipped by many to become a world champ himself one day, joked he'd never be allowed to fight Tyson Fury – such is his propensity to jinx the finest Brits of the heavyweight division.

Essentially, Itauma noted that Joshua, Dubois, and Joyce, all of whom he has sparred with in the past year or so to help them prepare for fights, have gone on to lose those fights. He worked with Joshua and Dubois ahead of their defeats to Oleksandr Usyk, and with Joyce ahead of his two defeats to Zhilei Zhang.

"I have started to notice that everyone I have sparred lately for big fights have lost," the Kent starlet, who goes by the name Enrico, told The Sun. "I sparred AJ and Dubois for Usyk and Joyce for Zhang and all five fights have gone the wrong way.

"I don’t know if I am bad luck or if I’m leaving them with a bit of trauma. But I hope it doesn’t stop me getting invited anywhere else."

Would Itauma beat Joshua if they fought tomorrow? Let us know in the comments section below.

Itauma admitted that sparring with some of the biggest names in the sport has done wonders for his reputation, but it's his freakish in-ring performances that are earning him rave reviews. He fought on the undercard of the rematch between Joyce and Zhang on Saturday and knocked his opponent, Amine Boucetta, out in the first round.

The time for talking is almost over as KSI and Tommy Fury will bury their rivarly once and for all as they face off in Manchester on Saturday, October 14th. Logan Paul will also be fighting at the event in front of what is expected to be a sell-out crowd. Get DAZN for £9.99 a month and the fight on PPV

It was his fifth-straight victory, four of which have been via KO, since turning pro at the start of the year. After his emphatic win over Boucetta he insisted he'd happily fight 100 times a year if his body let him. He also hinted he was looking to move up the division – and fast.

Speaking about Joyce and Zhange, he told the crowd inside London's Wembley Arena: "If I want to achieve what I want to achieve then these guys could be my opponents."
