Tottenham have confirmed they have agreed to sign higly-rated teenage defender\u00a0Luka Vuskovic from\u00a0Hajduk Split – but the 16-year-old won’t join the club until 2025.<\/p>\n
Spurs had been linked with the Croatian for many weeks – with Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool also rumoured to have held interest in the player, who caught attention after\u00a0helping Hajduk win the Croatian Cup last season.<\/p>\n
He also made his debut for the club last year aged 15 and became their youngest-ever goalscorer after finding the net just days after his 16th birthday.<\/p>\n
Announcing his arrival, Tottenham revealed he had signed a five year deal that would kick off in two years time.<\/p>\n
‘We are delighted to announce that we have reached agreement for Luka Vuskovic to join the Club in 2025 from Hajduk Split, in a deal which will run until 2030,’ they said in a statement.<\/p>\n

The 16-year-old signed a five-year deal with the club after turning down other top flight sides<\/p>\n
Vuskovic captained the Hajduk U19 team to the final of the UEFA Youth League last season alongside his first team commitments.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Last week Fabrizio Romano reported that Vuskovic was only interested in joining Spurs despite interest from five top flight clubs.<\/p>\n
While he won’t be linking up with boss Ange Postecoglou any time soon, he will hope to become the next defender to be shining under the Australian’s leadership.<\/p>\n
