Marcus Rashford has broken his silence following a scary crash in his £700k Rolls Royce.

The Manchester United star had been driving the luxury vehicle after helping his side to a 1-0 win at Burnley. Rashford had returned to United's Carrington training ground with the team on a coach. However, upon leaving the training ground, Rashford is believed to have collided with a traffic island.

Footage emerged on social media of the car badly damaged, with a toppled traffic island just metres away. Police were quickly on the scene, but an ambulance was not required and no arrests were made.

Bruno Fernandes was also at the scene and reportedly stopped to help his team-mate. A source told The Sun Rashford was uninjured but had been left a little shaken.

Since then, the England forward has taken to Instagram page to confirm he is fine. With an image of him celebrating with Fernandes at Turf Moor, Rashford wrote: "3 points on the road! I’m alright guys thanks for the messages."

A number of United fans replied to Rashford by telling him he needs to pass the ball more, while others wished him well. One said: "Rashford is a world class player but he needs confidence nothing else."

Another added: "I hope you get back to your form ASAP. My best wishes and all support to you." A third commented: "You are a good player but please just pass the ball at the right time."

Rashford, who wasted a couple of good chances, played the whole game at Turf Moor as United secured a much-needed victory following a poor start to the season. After the match, under-pressure boss Erik ten Hag admitted it was a must-win game.

“This was a must-win and we knew that,” said the Dutchman. “The team responded on the pitch. You could see the togetherness in the dressing room. It was a squad performance.”
