{"id":291860,"date":"2023-09-24T10:34:17","date_gmt":"2023-09-24T10:34:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tellmysport.com\/?p=291860"},"modified":"2023-09-24T10:34:17","modified_gmt":"2023-09-24T10:34:17","slug":"chris-eubank-jr-mocks-conor-benn-after-the-brits-return-to-boxing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tellmysport.com\/boxing\/chris-eubank-jr-mocks-conor-benn-after-the-brits-return-to-boxing\/","title":{"rendered":"Chris Eubank Jr MOCKS Conor Benn after the Brit&apos;s return to boxing"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Chris Eubank Jr MOCKS arch-rival Conor Benn after the Brit&#8217;s points win over Rodolfo Orozco in his first fight since failing two drug tests last year<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Conor Benn beat Rodolfo Orozco on his return to boxing on Saturday night<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>He\u00a0had been out of the ring since last April following two failed drug tests<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Benn&#8217;s long-standing rival Chris Eubank Jr mocked the win on social media\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Chris Eubank Jr has taken a dig at his long-standing rival Conor Benn&#8217;s return to boxing on Saturday night.<\/p>\n<p>Benn made his return to boxing with a comfortable unanimous decision win over\u00a0 Rodolfo Orozco in Orlando on Saturday night.<\/p>\n<p>He\u00a0had been out of the ring for 17 months after failing two drugs tests in the lead-up to his proposed mega-fight with Eubank\u00a0last October.<\/p>\n<p>Despite Benn&#8217;s suspension in Britain being lifted by the National Anti-Doping Panel in July, the British Boxing Board of Control remain adamant that he has not yet cleared his name, and the fighter still faces\u00a0a potential two-year ban in his home country pending the outcome of appeals.<\/p>\n<p>The 26-year-old seemed happy with his return after the fight in America, but Eubank was less impressed and shared yawning emojis as his review of the bout.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/24\/09\/75776055-12554621-image-a-1_1695544423343.jpg\" height=\"594\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Conor Benn made his return to boxing on Saturday night after 17 months out of the ring<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/24\/09\/75776033-12554621-image-a-2_1695544430260.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>He defeated the relatively unknown Mexican\u00a0 Rodolfo Orozco by unanimous decision in Orlando<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/24\/09\/75776299-12554621-image-a-17_1695545116633.jpg\" height=\"358\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Benn&#8217;s arch-rival Chris Eubank Jr mocked him after the fight by posting a yawning emoji<\/p>\n<p>Both fighters exchanged insults in the bad-tempered build-up to their cancelled fight last year, and Eubank called out Benn after beating Liam Smith in a rematch earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p>Benn was at ringside for the\u00a0 bout, and when asked about the performance, he replied: &#8216;Smith made him look good.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;What, it takes you ten rounds to dispatch of someone who&#8217;s got a broken leg? I&#8217;m not really impressed.\u00a0Eubank, let&#8217;s get it on, there&#8217;s unfinished business there.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Benn was less worried about labouring to victory in his own bout against Orozco, as he said after the win: &#8216;We didn&#8217;t want a walk in the park. I needed the rounds. I&#8217;ve had a year and [five] months out of the ring, so for me it was about getting back in there and handling business.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Yeah it would&#8217;ve been nice to get the stoppage.
