Former West Ham star Joe Cole has hailed Mohammed Kudus after the summer signing scored his first goal for the club in their 3-1 Europa League win over\u00a0Backa Topola.<\/p>\n
Kudus was handed his first start since joining the Hammers in a \u00a338m summer move from Dutch giants Ajax.<\/p>\n
The Ghanaian international played a key role in West Ham’s equaliser on the night, after\u00a0Petar Stanic gave the Serbian visitors a shock lead.<\/p>\n
Pressure from Kudus at the back post led to\u00a0Nemanja Petrovic turning Said Benrahma’s cross into his own net in the 66th minute.<\/p>\n
Kudus completed the turnaround four minutes later when he headed in a James Ward-Prowse corner.<\/p>\n

Cole, speaking on TNT Sports, praised the performance of Kudus and believes the forward will be another important addition to David Moyes’ West Ham team.<\/p>\n
‘He [Kudus] looked like he was happy and settled,’ Cole said.<\/p>\n
‘He is another weapon for David Moyes<\/p>\n
‘I look at this team and I see goals everywhere, it was a great night for West Ham.’<\/p>\n
Kudus’s first goal for West Ham takes him onto five goals in six games for the season, after netting five times for Ajax prior to his move to the London Stadium.<\/p>\n
The 23-year-old has shown his pedigree in European competitions, scoring nine goals in 18 games across the Champions League and Europa League to date.<\/p>\n
Kudus will now be pushing for a first start in the Premier League when West Ham travel to Anfield to face Liverpool on Sunday.<\/p>\n
