George Russell was on the verge of tears when speaking to Sky Sports after the Singapore GP, when he was forced to retire after a crash on the final lap.<\/p>\n
Russell had been second when a safety car gave him the chance to pit, seeing him drop to fourth, but the Brit was now on fresher tyres than those on the podium.<\/p>\n
And, alongside team-mate Lewis Hamilton, the pair went hunting top spot – passing Charles Leclerc – as they placed Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz under significant pressure.<\/p>\n

And only the third driver to win a race – with Sergio Perez winning in Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan.<\/p>\n
