Yuki Tsunoda’s Q2 lap was ruined by Red Bull star Max Verstappen on Saturday evening as the AlphaTauri driver was denied the chance to get himself into the final part of qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix.

Verstappen failed to get out of the way of Tsunoda, ruining his lap and leaving the 23-year-old furious with the reigning world champion. As a result of the incident, Verstappen has been noted and could be investigated by the stewards after the session.

Speaking about the impeding incident, Sky Sports F1 pundit Martin Brundle said: “I’ll be amazed if Max doesn’t take a penalty for that with Tsunoda.
