Marco Verratti is expected to complete his \u20ac45million (\u00a339m) move from Paris Saint-Germain to Qatari side Al-Arabi on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
According to Fabrizio Romano, the midfielder\u00a0landed in Doha on Monday night and will undergo his medical before being formally unveiled as a new Al-Arabi player later today.<\/span><\/p>\n The midfielder, who won Euro 2020\u00a0with Italy, has been frozen out following Luis Enrique’s arrival at the club earlier this summer and was linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.<\/span><\/p>\n However, neither\u00a0Al-Hilal nor Al-Ahli could reach an agree with PSG before the Saudi transfer window closed last week.<\/span><\/p>\n But the Qatar Stars League’s transfer window is still open, which allowed Al-Arabi to swoop in and seal a deal with the Ligue 1 champions.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Marco Verratti is set to complete a \u00a339million move to Qatari side Al-Arabi on Tuesday<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Italian has been frozen out by Luis Enrique at PSG this season<\/p>\n Your browser does not support iframes.<\/p>\n Verratti will turn 31 in November and in December last year signed a new four-year deal until the end of the 2025-26 with PSG.<\/span><\/p>\n The Italian arrived in the French capital from Serie B side Pescara in the summer of 2012 and has gone on to make 416 appearances for PSG in all competitions, scoring 11 goals.<\/span><\/p>\n During his spell in Paris, Verratti has won nine Ligue 1 titles, six French Cups and six French League Cups.<\/span><\/p>\n The midfielder has won 55 caps for Italy but was left out of Luciano Spalletti’s squad for the Euro 2024 qualifiers against North Macedonia and Ukraine.<\/span><\/p>\n At Al-Arabi, Verratti will be reunited with former PSG teammates Rafinha and Abdou Diallo, who swapped France for Qatar last year and this summer respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n PSG, who are owned by Qatar Sports Investments, have also sold Neymar and Georginio Wijnaldum to Saudi Arabian clubs this summer.<\/span><\/p>\n Once Verratti’s is complete, the Ligue 1 champions will have received \u00a3166m this summer, with \u00a3144m coming from Qatari and Saudi clubs.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n It’s All Kicking Off is an exciting new podcast from Mail Sport that promises a different take on Premier League football.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n It is available on MailOnline, Mail+, YouTube, Apple Music and Spotify.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Your browser does not support iframes.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nIT’S ALL KICKING OFF!\u00a0<\/h3>\n
