Sport&#8217;s podcast It&#8217;s All Kicking Off\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The nominations for the 2023 Kopa Trophy &#8211; given to the best U21 player in world football &#8211; were revealed on Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>The 10-man shortlist was comprised of the best youngsters on the planet, who will all be vying to clinch the title won by Barcelona star Gavi last year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Only one English player &#8211; Jude Bellingham &#8211; made the shortlist, following his tremendous campaign with Borussia Dortmund\u00a0and his recent\u00a0Real Madrid move.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The full list included: <span>Alejandro Balde, Rasmus Hojlund, Pedri, Eduardo Camavinga, <\/span>Xavi<span>\u00a0Simons, Jamal Musiala, Antonio Silva, Gavi, Elye Wahi and Bellingham.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Man United&#8217;s Hojlund &#8211; who completed a \u00a372million move to Old Trafford this summer &#8211; is the only Premier League candidate on the list.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/06\/18\/75133835-12488437-image-a-23_1694021906075.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Jude Bellingham was the only Englishman named on the 2023 Kopa Trophy shortlist<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" list.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Spanish league proved dominant in regard to the nominees &#8211; with five of the 10 players featuring in LaLiga.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Perhaps the most surprising inclusion was France forward Elye Wahi &#8211; who snubbed a move to the Premier League\u00a0in favour of a move to Lens this summer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Netherlands youngster Xavi Simons was also nominated for the award following a tremendous campaign with PSV Eindhoven, before he secured a move to RB Leipzig.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>More to
