Viktor Hovland has won the hearts of golf fans across the globe but it looks like he is still yet to make the cut when it comes to sorting out his love life. The 25-year-old Norwegian is one of the most in-form golfers on earth right now, and has consolidated his current ranking as world No. 4.

After finishing seventh at The Masters and runner-up at the PGA Championship, Hovland won the Memorial Tournament in June, before winning the BMW Championship last month and then following it up with success at the TOUR Championship a week later.

His sparkling form made him an automatic qualifier for Europe’s Ryder Cup team and hopes will be high amongst the team’s partisan supporters that he can deliver the goods against the USA in Rome in three weeks’ time.

Hovland has also become the third-youngest player ever to win the FedEx Cup, but an observant online dating user has spotted that he is working hard on his personal life away from the PGA Tour.

Social media golf account Flushing It has shared a video on X (the platform formerly known as Twitter) that shows a sequence of photographs from what appears to be Hovland’s own Tinder profile.

The self-promotion photographs include one posing with his silverware at the BMW International as well as another taken with the huge Dubai Desert Classic trophy.

The online dating app asks its users to provide a brief description of themselves on their profile page. Written in Norwegian, Hovland’s reads ‘A simple boy from Ekeberg’, massively playing down his millionaire elite sportsperson status.

The presence of a blue verification tick on the account suggests that the profile is genuine and not created by a have-a-go impersonator or ‘catfish’.

With all of the photos on his profile originating from previous seasons, it looks like Hovland has spent more time on winning golf tournaments than trying to start a relationship this year.

Must struggle for matches.”

While it’s difficult to imagine that a rich golfer in his mid-20s would have any trouble finding someone to date, the only scoring Hovland will be focused on for the next few weeks is at the Ryder Cup in Rome, where hopes are increasing for a European win.

Should he help to regain the cup in Italy, the whole continent will be swiping right on his profile.
