Erik ten Hag is standing by his comments made about Jadon Sancho with the Manchester United winger facing disciplinary action after hitting back at his manager over his training performances.<\/p>\n

Sancho was axed from the United squad for Sunday\u2019s 3-1 defeat to Arsenal with ten Hag explaining his absence was down to \u2018his performance in training\u2019.<\/p>\n
The former Borussia Dortmund star dismissed his manager\u2019s comments shortly after.<\/p>\n
\u2018I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue, I have conducted myself in training very well this week,\u2019 Sancho said on Sunday evening. \u2018I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won\u2019t go into, I\u2019ve been a scapegoat for a long time which isn\u2019t fair!\u2019<\/p>\n
Ten Hag was quickly made aware of his player\u2019s comments and decided against offering a clarification, the Manchester Evening News report. Ten Hag believes he was clear in his assessment of the situation and sticks by his view that Sancho\u2019s recent performances in training do not merit a place in his squad.<\/p>\n
Sancho could now face disciplinary action over his outburst \u2013 something ten Hag is no stranger to having acted quickly to address moments of perceived indiscipline since arrival at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n
Cristiano Ronaldo was suspended for one game after refusing to come on as a substitute in October 2022 before having his contract terminated after his infamous Piers Morgan interview the following month where he said he \u2018didn\u2019t respect\u2019 ten Hag.<\/p>\n

Marcus Rashford was also dropped from the starting XI for a Premier League clash with Wolves in December after arriving late for a team meeting.<\/p>\n
Ten Hag has also not shied away from other big decisions, namely stripping Harry Maguire of the captaincy and releasing David de Gea this summer.<\/p>\n
Sancho has not started any of United\u2019s games this season with tensions said to have been building between the player and his manager over a number of weeks.<\/p>\n
Former United defender Rio Ferdinand fears for his future at the club, suggesting a move to Saudi Arabia could provide a quick solution.<\/p>\n
He told Vibe with Five: \u2018On his chart, Jadon trained alright but the manager will have a certain standard. There is only one way this ends right now. Or two ways, actually.<\/p>\n
